Our cloth diaper story started on our trip to Bali. We spent 3 weeks backpacking on the island of the gods and we didn't like everything we saw there. Next to beautiful beaches and impressive temples, there were mountains of rubbish and there was often plastic floating in the sea. A few months after our return, I was pregnant and we dealt with the issue of diapers. It was clear to us very quickly that we wanted to nappy our child with cloth nappies.
Shortly before our daughter was born, we found ourselves in the jungle of the many different cloth nappies and first had to get an overview of all the systems and nappies available. Through a personal consultation, our many questions were clarified and the colourful hearty nappies were purchased.
To be able to competently pass on my experience and knowledge and motivate more parents to nappy with cloth nappies, I completed the training to become a cloth nappy consultant in Switzerland.

Even before I became pregnant, my husband and I decided that if we ever had a child, we would use cloth nappies. The reason was the incredible waste that comes with disposable nappies. We searched the internet and soon realised that although there are many different types of cloth nappies available, there is very little advice on and purchase of cloth nappies in Switzerland. We went to Winterthur for advice and stocked up on nappies.

A friend of ours laughed at us when we told her that we wanted to use cloth nappies. She had tried it too and it hadn't worked at all. A few months later I knew why. She came to visit and marvelled at our cloth nappies. She hadn't asked for advice and didn't know that there were different systems.
Dein grösster Fail?
Now, in hindsight, I wouldn't buy newborn nappies again. We didn't know at the time that there were rental/trial packs.

The combination of holding and cloth nappies is simply brilliant for us! We didn't do this with our first daughter. Now, with our second little angel, we do it this way and are totally thrilled!
